Privacy Policy

Plain summary: NEXA processes messages in real time to translate them. We do not store message content. We do not sell data. We do not share personal information with third parties except those required for the service to function.

1. Who we are

NEXA is an automatic translation service for Discord servers, operated by the NEXA team. This policy describes how we collect, use and protect your data when you use the bot or our website.

NEXA is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Discord Inc. All references to Discord are used for descriptive purposes only. "Discord" is a registered trademark of Discord Inc.

2. What we collect

To provide the service, we collect only what is strictly necessary:

  • Discord server ID (guild ID) — to identify your server's configuration
  • Configured channel IDs — to know where to apply translation
  • Language preferences per channel — the settings you define in the dashboard
  • Email and Discord username — only when you log in to the dashboard
  • Payment data — processed directly by Stripe or PayPal, never stored by us

What we do not collect: The content of your members' messages is not stored. Messages are processed in real time for translation and discarded immediately. We have no access to conversation history.

3. How we use the data

  • Provide and improve the translation service
  • Manage your account and dashboard settings
  • Process payments for Premium plans
  • Send service-related communications (no marketing without consent)
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your data. We share information only with:

  • Infrastructure providers (VPS servers) — to host the service
  • Stripe and PayPal — to process payments
  • Translation APIs (Google Translate, Gemini) — to process translations in real time
  • Competent authorities — when required by law

What we never do: We do not share data with advertising networks, data brokers, or third-party data monetisation services. User message content is never used to train artificial intelligence models or machine learning systems.

All providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for agreed purposes.

5. Data retention

  • Server settings — retained while the bot is on the server
  • Account data — retained while the account is active
  • Technical logs — deleted after 90 days
  • After bot removal — settings deleted within 30 days

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you have specific rights regarding your personal data. We acknowledge and comply with the following legislation:

  • European Union & Portugal — General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • United Kingdom — UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR)
  • Brazil — Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD)
  • California, USA — California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA)

In any jurisdiction, you have at minimum the following rights:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure — request the deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured format
  • Objection — object to processing in certain circumstances
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, without penalty

7. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest to protect your data. We limit internal access to data to the minimum necessary. While no system is 100% secure, we are committed to using the best security practices available.

8. Minors

NEXA follows Discord's minimum age requirements — users must be at least 13 years old (or the applicable legal minimum age in their country). We do not intentionally collect data from users under 13 years of age.

If you believe a minor has provided data to our service, please contact us immediately at support@nexalang.com and we will promptly delete that data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. We notify significant changes via the website or by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
